Specimens were hand collected in the field.
| 研究範圍 | Populations of Acuclavella were sampled from the Olympic Peninsula and southern Cascade Mountains of western Washington State, as well as from northern Idaho. Within these three regions, collections were targeted 5-20 mi from nearest known population |

- Typically surveys targeting Acuclavella lasted for 30 mins if no samples were found, and up to 90 minutes if individuals had been collected. This was to insure an adequate sampling of individuals. Occasionally, sufficient collections were made in 15-30 minutes, and sampling for the site ceased.
