Description
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 74 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
Versions
The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.

Sampling Methods
Standardized field observations were conducted during the peak flowering period of each orchid species. Floral visitors approaching or landing on flowers were recorded continuously from 09:00 to 21:00. Visitor identity, floral visitation behavior, pollinaria attachment, attachment site, and voucher specimen information (when available) were documented for each floral visitation event
| Study Extent | Floral visitors were surveyed at two study sites in South Korea during the 2025 flowering season. One site represented Calanthe discolor (Anmyeon Island, Chungcheongnam-do) and one represented Calanthe striata (Darangswi Oreum, Jeju-do) |
|---|---|
| Quality Control | Species identifications were verified by taxonomic specialists. Voucher specimens were deposited in the Korea National Arboretum insect collection when available. |
Method step description:
- Each floral visitation event was treated as a single occurrence record. Taxonomic identification of visitors was performed in the laboratory when necessary, and pollinaria attachment was examined directly in the field or under a stereomicroscope for collected specimens
