This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Dados Sobre o Projeto
This paper provides basic information on fish and crustacean fauna in the southern part of the Boso Peninsula, Japan. The Boso peninsula is located at the northernmost point of where the warm current (Kuroshio) reaches and is considered to have highly endemic fish fauna. In total, 38 families, 72 species, and 3,235 individuals were collected from the 27 river estuaries. Further, Sicyopterus japonicus and Microphis brachyurus, which appear in estuaries that are influenced by the Kuroshio, were confirmed. However, these species were confirmed in few of the rivers studied, highlighting the importance of habitat conservation.

Métodos de Amostragem
Habitats in half tide and spring tide belonging to one reach section (approximately 10 times the width of the river mouth) were selected as investigation sites. The fishes were collected by hand nets and throwing nets at each habitat (rapid, riffle, run, and pool).
Área de Estudo | The surveys were carried out from August 20 to October 3, 2020 in river estuarine environments, which were belonged to the Boso Peninsula, Japan. |

Descrição dos passos do método:
- Sampling locality and date were recorded. Specimens were given IDs, photographed, fin-clipped, and roughly classified on site. Specimens were shipped back to the lab for correct species identification.
