Specimen data for a taxonomic synopsis of the Altingiaceae is presented, including the taxonomic enumeration and distribution of 15 recognized species based on studies of specimens from 24 herbaria throughout the distributional range of the taxa.

  1. DNA exxtraction, PCR sequencing, and phylogenetic analysis. Morphological review of specimens for construction of dichotomous keys and resulting in taxonomic synopsis.
