A compilation of bird occurrence data in Gunung Belumut Eco Park located in Kluang Forest Reserve, Southern Peninsular Malaysia with altitude more than 300 meters above sea level. The data includes records of bird species encountered with several different types of methods including point count observations, mist-netting and calling.

Sampling Methods
Mist netting, bird calling, and point count observation methods were used to assess the bird richness of the study site. Four sampling sessions, each consisting of five days of trapping, were conducted from March to July 2022.

Method step description:
- 1. Field sampling using live trappings such mist netting, point count observation and calling. 2. Sampling commenced for 5 consecutives nights, where each mist net was checked starting from 0800 hrs to 1700 hrs. 3. All the captured birds was carefully removed from the net and placed into cloth bag prior to further examination. 4. All the captured birds were measured its morphology features and recorded. Based on the current references, the capture bird was identified up to species level. 5. A total of 5 sessions of sampling were executed throughout the study period.
