Descrição

This is an updated checklist of freshwater rotifer records in Thailand, compiled from 41 published research papers from 1971 to 2023. A total of 409 valid rotifer species-395 Monogononta and 14 Bdelloidea-have been recorded. The dataset includes 2,586 occurrence records, providing information on regional distributions, localities, geographical coordinates, and habitat types.

Métodos de Amostragem

The information on occurrence records of freshwater rotifer species in Thailand was collected from 41 published research papers. The taxonomic names, based on the List of Available Names in Zoology (LAN) (Jersabek et al. 2018), were checked for accepted species.

Área de Estudo The occurrence of rotifers in Thailand was categorized into six geographical regions: northern, northeastern, central, western, eastern, and southern.

  1. All scientific names published before the year 2000 were updated to the currently accepted nomenclature, following the Rotifer List of Available Names (LAN) (Jersabek et al. 2018).
