Herbolario v.1: A Dataset of Medicinal Plants Used in the 21st Century by Ethnolinguistic Groups in the Philippines
Herbolario v1 presents a comprehensive FAIR dataset focusing on the diversity and distribution of ethnomedicinal plants used by 35 ethnolinguistic groups in the Philippines. The database includes 13, 402 interaction records of ethnolinguistic groups of 796 plant (and algae) species from 160 families and 68 orders. We curated all the georeferenced species occurrences, including the ethnolinguistic groups, using it and the types of disease it is being used for; this information was made available through the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF).
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 13,402 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
